Elliott's 50th Anniversary
2016 is a big year for the team at Elliotts – it’s our 50th Anniversary!
Our passion for quality safety wear and reliable service began in Queensland in 1966 when Dick and Liz Elliott, founded R E Elliott & Son a manufacturer of carpenter’s leather nail bags and gloves.
With humble beginnings under a house, a commitment to quality, and high service levels, we grew quickly and soon made the move to our first factory in Nundah, Brisbane.
With an early focus on innovation, and changing industry needs our product range expanded substantially to include Welding Apparel, Furnace Clothing, Protective Clothing for firefighters and much more.
Elliotts manufacturing facilities in Brisbane grew quickly. Manufacturing partners were established in Asia in the early 1970s and an additional manufacturing facility was established in Fiji in 1999. Elliotts continue to proudly manufacture products in Australia today.
Expanding beyond our Queensland base, Elliotts is now an international supplier of quality safety wear and PPE, with over 1,000 distributors across Australia and a growing number in New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Rim.
Over the subsequent 50 years our reputation of providing quality care across all our products has been built with our commitment to looking beyond commercial considerations to that which matters most - the protection you need to stay safe.
This commitment is stronger today than it has ever been and our growth and success is the consequence of our never wavering from our focus of providing quality safety gear to the highest standard.
We owe our success over the last 50 years to the dynamic and positive spirit to ‘do the right thing’ by our customers, which our staff implement on a day to day basis in all their tasks. As we begin another chapter of the Elliotts story, we will continue our never-ending quest for the most innovative safety and care technologies available.
