G-Flex Glove Materials
Glove Liners
Nylon: Seamless nylon liners are designed to be form-fitting and flexible. The nylon glove liner allows the hand to breathe and the “Finger Dip” technology gives total ventilation to the back of the hand.
Dynamax® 13D-F: Dynamax® 13D-F is a 13-gauge high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibre that offers excellent durability and impact resistance, making it suitable for protective gear in industrial environments. Its strength and rigidity provide an additional layer of protection without sacrificing comfort or flexibility.
Dynamax® 15D-F: Dynamax® 15D-F is a 15-gauge high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fibre that offers excellent durability and impact resistance, making it suitable for protective gear in industrial environments. Its strength and rigidity provide an additional layer of protection without sacrificing comfort or flexibility.
Dynamax® 18D-F: Dynamax® 18D-F is an 18-gauge high-density polyethylene (HPPE) fibre that offers excellent durability and impact resistance, making it suitable for protective gear in industrial environments. Its strength and rigidity provide an additional layer of protection without sacrificing comfort or flexibility.
Glove Coatings
Nitrile: Nitrile is a strong fibre and does not cause allergic reactions allowing for a wider range of applications. It offers excellent resistance to punctures and tears and stands up well in wet environments with water and oil, making it a good choice for handling small oily parts. Nitrile performs well in temperatures ranging from -4°C to 149°C.
T-Touch™: The T-Touch™ PU coating is a proprietary breathable nitrile foam that offers levels of performance focusing on wearer comfort. T-Touch™ is highly flexible and soft yet offers excellent abrasion resistance grip, especially in wet, oily conditions. The breathable foam nitrile coating provides high levels of air permeability which minimises sweating and improves wearer comfort.
AirTouch™: The AirTouch™ coating is a unique nitrile micro-foam. The micro surface is infused with thousands of tiny bubbles that act like suction cups and will soak up and absorb liquids and limit the penetration of the coating through to the hand. It has a lower soak-through rate than standard foam nitrile and performs well in both dry and wet conditions. This coating offers high levels of dexterity and is extremely breathable, providing the highest comfort levels.
Latex: Natural rubber is extremely elastic, flexible, and soft yet tough and durable. As a coating, it provides protection from physical hazards such as cuts, punctures, and slashes and has an outstanding grip. Good for exposure to aqueous chemicals such as acids and caustics, with limited protection from alcohols and ketones. Does not hold up well in organic solvents, oils, greases or fuels. Caution: Products containing natural rubber latex may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
Polyurethane (PU): Polyurethane-coated gloves are great for handling small parts where high dexterity is required. PU delivers excellent grip, puncture, and abrasion resistance while providing protection against oils, fats, and greases. PU is also soft and flexible which means it can be applied in very thin coats allowing for excellent dexterity and tactile sensitivity. It offers great breathability due to being microporous and therefore providing the hand with good ventilation. It doesn’t go hard in the cold or go soft in the heat and coatings can be very thin, soft, and flexible providing excellent dexterity and touch sensitivity. Performs best in dry conditions.

Mec-Flex Glove Materials
Palm Materials
Hyde-Tex™ 70, 80, 85: A unique soft, and durable synthetic leather providing durability and comfort. Hyde-Tex™ is available in several thicknesses and is machine washable.
Hyde-Tex™ Grip: A Hyde-Tex™ synthetic leather with specifically formulated non-slip silicon grip patterns to provide superior grip whilst offering comfort, protection, and durability.
Hyde-Tex™ DX: Hyde-Tex™ DX is a synthetic leather with raised PVC dots for enhanced grip, performance, and improved durability. The raised PVC dots absorb the wear away from the base material and extend the life of the glove.
Goatskin Leather: Goatskin is considered to be the toughest most durable yet supple leather. Goatskin provides the best abrasion and tensile strength for its weight while remaining soft and supple. Mostly available in thinner cuts, this leather is great for products made for light to medium protective needs. The high lanolin content of goatskin makes it very supple leather. Goatskin leather is ideal for medium-duty protection where medium-high dexterity is required.
Cuff Materials
Neoprene: Neoprene has good abrasion and cut resistance and is often used when heavy-duty protection is required. Neoprene resists degradation which means gloves made of this material will normally last longer. Neoprene has a high level of chemical stability and is therefore resistant to a wide variety of acids, oils, solvents, and caustic agents. Neoprene also has good flame-resistant and heat-resistant properties. Neoprene gloves are commonly used for chemical-resistant applications and applications where heat and fire retardant properties are required.
Elastic: Elastic cuffs offer a secure and snug fit around the wrist, preventing the entry of unwanted debris or moisture. The flexibility and stretch provided by the elastic material allow for easy donning and doffing of the gloves and promote freedom of movement, accommodating different hand sizes and providing a comfortable, customized fit.
Polyester + Spandex: Polyester spandex has good elasticity to ensure a snug and comfortable fitting glove, allowing the gloves to conform to the hand’s contours, providing excellent dexterity and flexibility. The polyester blend also means durability and resistance to abrasion, enhancing the gloves’ overall lifespan. Polyester spandex gloves are known for their moisture-wicking properties, efficiently drawing perspiration away from the skin, thereby keeping the hands dry and comfortable during extended wear. Furthermore, the material is often lightweight and breathable, promoting airflow and preventing overheating.

Cowhide: Cowhide is the most common hide because of its broad range of leather and uses. Cowhide strikes a good balance between durability, dexterity, abrasion resistance, and comfort. Cowhide is the most versatile leather and can yield a wide range of thicknesses and distinct grades from a single hide (grain and split). This versatility makes it suitable for anything from welding gloves and accessories to work gloves, to full welding jackets and other protective apparel. Cowhide leather is ideal for heavy-duty protection where low-medium dexterity is required.
Goatskin Leather: Goatskin is considered to be the toughest most durable, yet supple, leather. Goatskin provides the best abrasion and tensile strength for its weight. Mostly available in thinner cuts, this leather is great for products that require light to medium protective needs. The high lanolin content of goatskin makes it very supple leather.
